Johnny Fisher<\/a> returns to the ring this weekend, as the fan-favourite heavyweight looks to get back to winning ways.<\/p>\n

Fisher will fight Ivan Balaz in Monte Carlo, entering the bout on the back of two duels with Dave Allen \u2013 chaotic contests that saw the former sparring partners trade wins.<\/p>\n

Fisher, 26, survived a knockdown to win a controversial decision<\/a> against the veteran in December, before Allen again floored the \u201cRomford Bull\u201d en route to a stoppage victory<\/a> in May.<\/p>\n

Now Fisher, one of Britain\u2019s favourite fresh faces in boxing<\/a>, heads to Monaco to begin his rebuilding process<\/a>. He does so under the guidance of a new coach in Tony Sims<\/a>, as well as Matchroom<\/a> promoter Eddie Hearn \u2013 who will be keen to see his prospect back on form.<\/p>\n

Fisher was due to box Herbert Matovu this weekend, but the Ugandan was replaced on just a few days\u2019 notice by Slovakia\u2019s Balaz. Here\u2019s all you need to know.<\/p>\n

When is the fight? <\/p>\n

Fisher vs Balaz will take place on Saturday 6 December, at the Salle des Etoiles concert hall in Monte Carlo\u2019s Sporting complex. The fight will play out on the undercard of Shabaz Masoud vs Peter McGrail. Live coverage began at 6pm GMT, with Fisher\u2019s fight expected any time from 8pm GMT.<\/p>\n
