How much would you pay for a KOM? Or someone else\u2019s KOM? How much would you pay for the bike ridden by the most famous cyclist in the world to set the fastest time up one of the most famous climbs in the world during the Tour de France?<\/p>\n

The answer, for some lucky (and wealthy) individual is around $262,958 in Canadian dollars (\u20ac163,430).<\/p>\n

That\u2019s how much Tadej Poga\u010dar\u2019s very custom Colnago Y1Rs went for in auction. This is the bike that Poga\u010dar rode to set a record time up Mont Ventoux during the 2025 Tour de France<\/a> (but not the stage win). It\u2019s just a little bit more than Sothebey\u2019s predicted sale price of the bike, which was between USD15,000 and $20,000.<\/p>\n

What makes this Colnago special, other than it\u2019s rider? The frame is stripped of all paint, exposing a raw carbon finish save for a few rainbow highlights for the world champion on the frame and fork, and some minimal Colnago, ENVE and UAE team lettering. That cut the bikes weight to just over 7kg, a remarkable weight for an aero frame.<\/p>\n

While Poga\u010dar didn\u2019t win the stage up Mont Ventoux, it did help the Slovenian cement his fourth Tour de France title.<\/p>\n

Poga\u010dar raced similar versions of the Colnago at il Lombardia and to defend his world championships title in Rwanda later in the season.<\/p>\n

Will it help whoever bought this bike get a KOM of their own? It\u2019s fare more likely to sit on display somewhere.
