\n\tParadise<\/a> is ready to reveal more secrets in season two.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe twisty post-apocalyptic\u00a0hit drama<\/a> from This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman<\/a> ended on a major cliffhanger<\/a> and made good on a big promise that much more will be revealed when season two returns, which is all part of Fogelman\u2019s three-season master plan<\/a>. On Saturday, coming out of the Paradise panel at Brazil Comic Con (CCXP), Fogelman debuted some of what to expect when the mystery show returns, which he revealed will be Feb. 23 with three episodes, followed by new episodes weekly on Hulu<\/a> and Hulu on Disney+.<\/p>\n

\n\tA teaser trailer (below) confirms that Sterling K. Brown<\/a>\u2018s starring character, Xavier Collins, does indeed venture outside of the show\u2019s central bunker to the world above, where he\u2019s on a mission to locate his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma), whom he wrongly thought had died when the world supposedly went nearly extinct <\/a>and forced his surviving family and other survivors into the bunker city, called Paradise, that was explored in season one.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trailer confirms the return of James Marsden<\/a>, who played the deceased President of the United States Cal Bradford, introduces the new character played by newcomer Shailene Woodley and teases the return of the deceased Billy<\/a> who was played by Jon Beavers. But most curiously, the first footage shows Xavier struggling to survive on his mission and features the show\u2019s villain Sinatra <\/a>(Julianne Nicholson) dropping a new bombshell: \u201cIt was never just about the bunker.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHere\u2019s the season two synopsis: \u201cXavier searches for Teri out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of season one, and new secrets are uncovered about the city\u2019s origins.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen speaking to The Hollywood Reporter after the season one finale, Fogelman explained of the series<\/a>, \u201cWe have this very precise three-year plan, and this next season coming is kind of the middle episode of our trilogy with also its own beginning, middle and end. We have a three-season story that\u2019s bigger than what people think it is right now, and it\u2019s going to span a couple of genres.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV and Charlie Evans round out the cast, with recurring guest stars Marsden, Woodley, Doherty and Jon Beavers.<\/p>\n

\n\tParadise is created and executive produced by Fogelman. Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Brown, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
