When it comes to Chris Jericho<\/a>\u2018s next move in the world of professional wrestling, sometimes you can say a lot by not saying anything at all. <\/p>\n

Chris Jericho has accomplished a great deal during his current AEW<\/a> run. Including becoming one of only three men to hold claim to being both a former AEW and Ring of Honor World Champion. Although you wouldn\u2019t know that if you tuned into last night\u2019s ROH Final Battle pay-per-view<\/a>. <\/p>\n

While hyping up Eddie Kingston\u2019s upcoming AEW World Championship match against Samoa Joe at Dynamite\u2019s Winter is Coming special this Wednesday, Ring of Honor<\/a> commentator Ian Riccaboni made it a point to state that Kingston had a chance to be one of the chosen few to hold both the AEW and Ring of Honor World Championships. Riccaboni then specially chose to name-drop Samoa Joe and Bryan Danielson. Neglecting to name Jericho, who was the Ring of Honor World Champion at Final Battle last year. <\/p>\n

Ian Riccaboni, a known historian when it comes to wrestling knowledge of Ring of Honor, would never forget a name like Jericho unless he was specifically told not to mention him. This notable exclusion is very telling, as Jericho\u2019s contract is reportedly set to expire by the end of the year. <\/p>\n

Chris Jericho says he\u2019ll be back in a wrestling ring next year<\/p>\n

While Chris Jericho\u2019s AEW future is very much in question, we already know what WWE<\/a> would like to do with him if he were to return there next year. <\/p>\n

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter<\/a>, WWE has offered Chris Jericho a retirement storyline if he were to return to the company next year. Apparently, this is the only thing WWE is interested in regarding a potential Jericho return. <\/p>\n

Jericho was a recent guest on The Tim Weisberg Show<\/a>. The current AEW star confirmed he\u2019ll be back in the ring next year. However, he made a point to not specify where.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, you never know, man,\u201d Chris Jericho said. \u201cThat\u2019s the thing. I\u2019m not done yet, so [I\u2019m] still figuring out everything, and I\u2019ll see where I end up. But I\u2019m pretty sure you\u2019ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n
