LeBron James is closing in on even more NBA history. <\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Lakers star is now second in NBA history in regular-season wins, passing Boston Celtics great Robert Parish with Sunday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar holds the record for the most regular-season wins with 1,074, and James moved to 1,015 on Sunday. <\/p>\n

While it won’t happen this season, it’s well within reason to believe James could pass Abdul-Jabbar and become the NBA’s all-time leader in yet another stat. He needs just 59 wins, so finishing this year strong and having a good season next year would likely help him reach the mark. <\/p>\n

The biggest question is whether James has another season left in him. <\/p>\n

ESPN’s\u00a0Dave McMenamin<\/a> reported last month that those close to James “have insisted that he remains undecided” about a retirement timeline, so it seems there’s no definitive answer about when he’ll call it a career. <\/p>\n

On Sunday, he certainly looked capable of playing another season, if not more. James dropped a season-high 29 points and added seven boards and six assists to help the Lakers down the Philadelphia 76ers. He also had 10 straight points late in the fourth quarter. <\/p>\n

James has been far from himself this year as he’s putting up just 14 points, 7.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game, but to say that he’s not still a key contributor wouldn’t be accurate. <\/p>\n

He also missed some time to start the year and has played just seven games, so he’s likely still finding his rhythm. <\/p>\n

Luckily for James, he doesn’t have to be at his best every night thanks to his co-stars Luka Don\u010di\u0107 and Austin Reaves. Behind the strong play of those two, Los Angeles has started the year 17-6 and is in second place in the Western Conference. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"LeBron James is closing in on even more NBA history.
