{"id":332166,"date":"2025-12-08T10:25:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T10:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/332166\/"},"modified":"2025-12-08T10:25:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T10:25:13","slug":"the-globe-and-mails-comprehensive-ranking-of-canadas-corporate-boards-for-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/332166\/","title":{"rendered":"The Globe and Mail\u2019s comprehensive ranking of Canada\u2019s corporate boards for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">For the 24th year in a row, Report on Business has rated the work of Canada\u2019s corporate boards using a rigorous set of governance criteria designed to go far beyond minimum mandatory rules imposed by regulators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Markers at Global Governance Advisors examined the boards of directors of 206 companies and trusts in the S&amp;P\/TSX Composite Index to assess the quality of their governance practices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">The chart shows the total marks for 2025 based on dozens of individual criteria across four broad subcategories.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">The marks are based on information published in the most recent annual shareholder proxy circulars of companies who were members of the composite index through the end of September.
