Philadelphia\u2019s Atif \u201cLord Pretty Calvo\u201d Oberlton closed the night in dramatic fashion, stopping rugged veteran Vaughn \u201cThe Animal\u201d Alexander in the opening round of their eight-round light heavyweight main event.<\/p>\n
Oberlton controlled the early action with a southpaw jab from the outside. In the final minute of the first, he uncorked a clean right hand that sent Alexander face-first to the canvas. Alexander could not beat the count, giving Oberlton a statement knockout at 2:34 of round one. This was an impressive accomplishment for Oberlton, as this is only the third time Alexander has been stopped in his 21-year career, and it was also the quickest Alexander has been stopped <\/p>\n
Oberlton remains unbeaten, advancing to 14-0 (12). Alexander falls to 19-18-2 (12).<\/p>\n
Shannel Butler Wins WBA Continental Featherweight Championship<\/p>\n

The southpaw Butler used her reach to control the ring, jabbing to disrupt Dionicius\u2019 attempts to close the distance. Dionicius darted in with short flurries, but Butler consistently responded with crisp right hooks and maintained defensive discipline.<\/p>\n
