The lights were bright, the crowd was loud, and the New York Knicks picked up their 16th win of the season on December 6 with a (106-100) victory over the Orlando Magic. Jalen Brunson poured in 30 points to once again anchor New York’s offense at Madison Square Garden.

Despite the Knicks’ impressive performance, much of the buzz that night had little to do with the final score and everything to do with two WNBA stars sitting courtside.

Two WNBA Stars Turned Heads at MSG

Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers stole the spotlight when they appeared together at MSG to roll out a new campaign that blended basketball star power with candy nostalgia.

The collaboration, which was teased earlier in the week, sent fans scrambling to connect the dots after a mysterious Instagram post paired Reese’s signature orange-and-brown aesthetic with Oreo’s unmistakable blue.

The partnership fits neatly into each player’s growing off-court portfolio. Reese has been closely tied to Reese’s since 2024, when she became one of Hershey’s standout basketball ambassadors. On the other hand, Bueckers stepped into the confectionery lane in 2025. It was through a high-profile Oreo deal headlined by a national Oreo Cakesters commercial that highlighted her comedic timing.

At Madison Square Garden, the campaign finally came to life before a national audience. Reese and Bueckers arrived courtside in coordinated looks that matched the joint branding, each holding the new treat that brought their two worlds together.

As soon as images from courtside started circulating, WNBA fans jumped into the replies and quote-tweets with trade machine energy and dream-scenario lineups.

How Did the Fans React to Seeing the Two WNBA Stars Together?

The Dallas Wings finished last season with a 10–34 record and missed the playoffs. The Chicago Sky also ended 10–34, and tensions between Reese and the Sky reportedly worsened toward the end of the 2025 season.

Trade rumors had already been circulating for weeks, but the sight of Reese sitting beside Bueckers poured gasoline on the fire. For many, a Reese-Bueckers pairing represents a fresh start and a new power shift the league desperately needs.

“Yeah, Curt, go ahead and make the trade, I’ve seen enough,” said one fan, whereas another one said, “I’ve seen enough, sign them.”

Reese’s fashion reputation is nothing new. From tunnel entrances to magazine shoots, Reese has become one of the WNBA’s most stylish stars. Seeing her and Bueckers coordinate outfits for this campaign only amplified the excitement.

“Ooo they look good. I need to see Angel’s full fit,” wrote another fan.

The New York Liberty’s 2025 playoff run was cut short in the first round by the Phoenix Mercury. Now that Reese and Bueckers have been seen side-by-side in the city Liberty supporters are dreaming of the ultimate blockbuster roster move.
