Everyone who fights him \u2018gets surprised\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Benavidez retains title with brutal blow | 00:50<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the undefeated Ortiz Jnr (24-0, 22KO) is in talks to face Ennis, who is also looking to keep his own unbeaten tear alive after moving up from the welterweight division, where he was a unified champion. <\/p>\n<p>Asked this week about Benavidez backing him to beat two of the sport\u2019s biggest names, Tszyu replied: \u201cMan, the thing is, I know I can beat them, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s something I really believe can happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObviously, David Benavidez is a great fighter, somebody I really respect, and so for him to talk about me like that, I really appreciate it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it also isn\u2019t simply a matter of \u2018oh, David Benavidez believes I can win these fights\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI also feel like, right now, the world really is ready to be conquered again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I also know for that to happen, it has to be done one step at a time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I feel like [in the past], there are a lot of things that have got in the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow though, I\u2019m ready to eliminate all of that and go forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd those names like Vergil Ortiz, Boots, even Jermell Charlo, they will all come back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut again, it\u2019s one step at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked about collaborating with Benavidez into 2026, Tszyu continued: \u201cAbsolutely there are things we can work on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve already spent time in the gym with him recently, where we were talking about all these different little things.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust stuff fighters would find important, like your breathing &#8212; and the best way to take breathes at certain times \u2013 and what to do in your corner between rounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLittle things I can really sharpen up on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David Benavidez.Source: Getty Images<\/p>\n<p> Benavidez also outed Tszyu\u2019s Hall of Fame father Kostya as one of his favourite fighters ever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I like about his father, extremely strong right hand,\u201d the champ said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe sets his body shots up with the right hand too.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVicious fighter, vicious finisher.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was actually just getting my haircut and watching him fight a Cuban dude \u2026 vicious body shot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my opinion, he had the style of [Gennady] Golovkin before Golovkin came in the scene. One of my all time favourites.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And as for he and Tim Tszyu now working together moving forward?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of stuff that we can help each other with,\u201d Benavidez continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of stuff he does good that I could get pointers from.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe does things different to how I do. And I do things different to how he does. And I got the stoppage from it.
