The 2025 F1 season might have drawn to a close, but the action has not quite stopped yet, with the post-season test in Abu Dhabi taking place today.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the winter break, all 10 teams will be in action for both a Pirelli tyre test and Young Driver Test, with old and new faces taking part and vital data set to be gathered ahead of a huge regulation overhaul in 2026.<\/p>\n
Isack Hadjar<\/a> will be in action for Red Bull ahead of his full-time move to the senior squad, while his spot at Racing Bulls will be filled by F2 graduate Arvid Lindblad ahead of his F1 debut next season.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the lowdown on everyone driving in the test\u2026<\/p>\n McLaren<\/p>\n Lando Norris\/Oscar Piastri Lando Norris<\/a> and Oscar Piastri<\/a> will pick up post-season testing duties with contrasting emotions after the Briton landed his first title and the Australian had to settle for third in the standings.<\/p>\n IndyCar racer Pato O’Ward, who serves as a McLaren test and reserve, and made another FP1 outing with the team in Abu Dhabi last week, is also in action for the Young Driver element of the session.<\/p>\n Mercedes<\/p>\n George Russell\/Kimi Antonelli Having taken part in Sunday’s Grand Prix, both George Russell<\/a> and Kimi Antonelli<\/a> will be back in action one final time this season, sharing Pirelli testing duties.<\/p>\n They will be joined by Dane Frederik Vesti, the 2023 Formula 2 runner-up having taken part in the same test 12 months ago.<\/p>\n In his capacity as Mercedes’ reserve driver, the 23-year-old has also already driven in two Free Practice 1 outings this season in Bahrain and Mexico.<\/p>\n Red Bull<\/p>\n Isack Hadjar Ahead of his promotion to Red Bull for the 2026 season, Hadjar will sample the team’s RB21 challenger.<\/p>\n The Frenchman impressed during his rookie season with Racing Bulls and will hope to hit the ground running as he transitions to the senior squad.<\/p>\n He will be joined by Ayumu Iwasa, the 2025 Super Formula champion getting another chance with the team after taking part in Free Practice 1 in Bahrain.<\/p>\n Since then, the Japanese driver has also made two FP1 outings with Racing Bulls in Mexico City and Abu Dhabi, having done the same test with the team 12 months ago.<\/p>\n Ferrari<\/p>\n Charles Leclerc\/Lewis Hamilton Charles Leclerc<\/a> and Lewis Hamilton<\/a> will both stay on in Abu Dhabi to help Ferrari with their 2026 preparations, following a difficult season that left the famous team fourth in the standings.<\/p>\n Ferrari Driver Academy member Dino Beganovic will also take to the Yas Marina Circuit for the Scuderia after a Formula 2 campaign which yielded one win and P7 in the standings.<\/p>\n The 21-year-old is no stranger to the SF-25 either, having taken part in Free Practice 1 with Ferrari in Bahrain and Austria.<\/p>\n Williams<\/p>\n Carlos Sainz\/Alex Albon It was a tricky end to the season for Williams, who otherwise impressed en route to fifth in the Teams\u2019 Championship, and Carlos Sainz<\/a> and Alex Albon<\/a> will be in action to take a few more lessons into the winter.<\/p>\n Having finished the Formula 2 season fourth overall, Luke Browning will perform Young Driver testing duties for Williams.<\/p>\n The 23-year-old is a member of the Williams Racing Driver Academy and has previous Free Practice 1 experience, including Bahrain and Mexico City earlier this year, as well as in Abu Dhabi the last two seasons.<\/p>\n Racing Bulls<\/p>\n Liam Lawson Liam Lawson<\/a> will provide some continuity for Racing Bulls in 2026, with Isack Hadjar going to Red Bull and F2 racer Arvid Lindblad<\/a> joining the New Zealander.<\/p>\n Lawson is in one of two Racing Bulls cars on Tuesday, with the other going to the aforementioned Lindblad, fresh from his promotion.<\/p>\n The British driver finished sixth in his maiden season of F2 after three wins, and was already in F1 action on Friday for the senior Red Bull squad.<\/p>\n It marked his third time in the RB21, after also driving it at Silverstone and Mexico City.<\/p>\n Aston Martin<\/p>\n Stoffel Vandoorne Former McLaren F1 driver and Mercedes reserve Stoffel Vandoorne will put in some laps for Aston Martin on Tuesday.<\/p>\n The Belgian driver has more recently competed in Formula E and the World Endurance Championship, having last raced in F1 in 2018.<\/p>\n He will be joined by American Jak Crawford, the F2 runner-up getting another chance in the AMR25 after sampling it in Mexico City and on Friday in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n Haas<\/p>\n Ollie Bearman\/Esteban Ocon Ollie Bearman<\/a> and Esteban Ocon<\/a> will share driving duties for Pirelli, where they will be joined by Ryo Hirakawa.<\/p>\n The Japanese driver has already driven in four Free Practice 1 sessions for Haas this term, as well as one with Alpine.<\/p>\n Sauber<\/p>\n Nico Hulkenberg\/Gabriel Bortoleto Kick Sauber are another team running both race drivers at the test, with Nico Hulkenberg<\/a> and Gabriel Bortoleto<\/a> turning a few more laps before the Sauber name disappears from F1 and Audi take over.<\/p>\n Alpine reserve driver Paul Aron was loaned out to Sauber for some FP1 running earlier in the year, and the young Estonian will get another outing with the team at the Yas Marina Circuit in a similar arrangement.<\/p>\n Alpine<\/p>\n Pierre Gasly
