Earlier this afternoon, founding Suicide Silence guitarist Chris Garza took to social media to announce that he was taking a step back from the band for a while. Though he was quick to point out that he was not quitting the band in any capacity, only that he needed to \u201chit the reset button so I can make the right decisions in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n
His full statement, which was released in collaboration with Suicide Silence\u2019s official Instagram page, is as follows:<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s up everyone,<\/p>\n
\u201cAs some of you have noticed, I\u2019ve missed the last couple Suicide Silence shows. It\u2019s because I\u2019m on a hiatus from the band. Sui has been on my brain every day since 2002 with no break. Everything is fine. I just need to press the reset button so I can make the right decisions in the near future. As the Terminator said. I\u2019ll be back.<\/p>\n

Along with his responsibilities with the band, Garza\u2019s made quite a name for himself in the podcast space, hosting the incredibly popular Garza Podcast, which features a huge variety of guests from the metal world.<\/p>\n
At this time, there\u2019s no information as to when Garza thinks he\u2019ll rejoin Suicide Silence on stage.
