\n\tJames Van Der Beek<\/a> recently shared prized memorabilia with fans, allowing him to earn funds to support his cancer recovery. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn Saturday, Propstore\u2019s Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction<\/a> featured selected items from Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/a> and Varsity Blues<\/a>, two projects in which Van Der Beek starred. The assortment from Van Der Beek\u2019s personal collection of props and costumes earned over $47,000, with all proceeds being used to help finance the 48-year-old actor\u2019s fight following his diagnosis with stage 3 colorectal cancer<\/a> in the summer of 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe highest-valued item, with an auction price of $26,628, was a necklace that Van Der Beek\u2019s character Dawson Leery gifted to Joey Porter (as played by Katie Holmes) on the teen drama series\u00a0Dawson\u2019s Creek. A collection of decorations from Dawson\u2019s bedroom, including an\u00a0Indiana Jones\u00a0model kit and\u00a0E.T.\u00a0doll, sold for $5,991, while a chairback was acquired for $2,663. <\/p>\n

\n\tAdditionally, Dawson\u2019s white jumper costume went for $2,663, while a flannel shirt that the character wore throughout the series sold for $2,396.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for the Varsity Blues items, a hat worn by Van Der Beek\u2019s character, Mox, sold for $4,660. A pair of the character\u2019s cleats went for $2,663. <\/p>\n

\n\tAlso included among the 1,350 lots featured in Propstore\u2019s London-based auction unrelated to Van Der Beek was\u00a0Boba Fett\u2019s blaster<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0The Empire Strikes Back\u00a0that sold for over $607,068. A fedora that Harrison Ford wore in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom sold for $482,328, a lightsaber that Ewan McGregor used in Star Wars<\/a>: The Phantom Menace went for $382,536, and Will Ferrell\u2019s costume from Elf<\/a> hit $316,008.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it\u2019s clear that the time is now,\u201d Van Der Beek said in a previously shared statement. \u201cWhile I have some nostalgia tugging at me as I part with these items, it feels good to be able to offer them through Propstore\u2019s auction to share with those who have supported my work over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn September, Van Der Beek\u00a0canceled his planned attendance<\/a>\u00a0at a\u00a0Dawson\u2019s Creek\u00a0event due to illness.
