The WNBA<\/a> has grown a lot in the last few years, with a lot of credit for that going to Caitlin Clark. And while she deserves her flowers for being a huge draw, other superstars have enjoyed more success. A\u2019ja Wilson is the biggest example, and her off-court rivalry with the Indiana Fever star has seemingly taken a new turn. <\/p>\n

Wilson was named MVP in the 2025 season, the fourth time she\u2019s won it. She also led the Las Vegas Aces to the championship, her third at the professional level. The success has led to increased recognition for Wilson, who was named Time magazine\u2019s Athlete Of The Year. <\/p>\n

During the interview, Wilson was asked if all the attention that went to Clark was an issue for her. The Aces star\u2019s answer was extremely frank. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t a hit at me, because I\u2019m going to do me regardless,\u201d Wilson told\u00a0Time<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m going to win this MVP, I\u2019ll win a gold medal, y\u2019all can\u2019t shake my r\u00e9sum\u00e9. It was more so, let\u2019s not lose the recipe. <\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s not lose the history. It was erased for a minute. And I don\u2019t like that. Because we have tons of women that have been through the grimiest of grimy things to get the league where it is today.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is far from a direct shot, and Wilson has also been free with her praise for Caitlin in the past. Women\u2019s basketball is growing rapidly, and all the superstars are major contributors to making it happen. It would be great to see this rivalry on the court, though, so hopefully, Clark can stay healthy moving forward.<\/p>\n
