\n\tPriya Dogra<\/a> has been appointed as the next chief executive of U.K. public service broadcaster Channel 4<\/a>, replacing Alex Mahon who stepped down this summer after 8 years in the role. <\/p>\n

\n\tDogra will join Channel 4 in March 2026. Current Channel 4 chief Jonathan Allan will continue in the role of interim CEO until then.\u202f Allan was reportedly in the running for the job \u2014\u00a0one of the biggest in U.K. TV \u2014\u00a0alongside Netflix exec Emma Lloyd.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u202fDogra, who currently holds the post as chief advertising group data and new revenue Officer at pay-TV Sky, is a well-respected TV exec with more than two decades experience in the media industry in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and U.K. Her expertise spans across programming, production, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, as well as business development.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tPrior to joining Sky, Dogra spent 14 years at Time Warner\/WarnerMedia and Warner Bros. Discovery where she was president and managing director for Warner Bros. Discovery (Europe Middle East and Africa) EMEA with responsibility for programming and production, marketing, advertising, commercial partnerships across networks, streaming, theatrical\u00a0distribution\u00a0and content licensing. Dogra also led local original series production for HBO and HBO Max.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Priya is\u202fan outstanding executive, a\u202fvisionary leader and has a formidable intellect,\u201d said Geoff Cooper, who is Channel 4 chair, in a statement. \u201cShe has impressive experience in driving commercial growth and digital transformation, as well as building collaborative partnerships, alongside\u00a0a track record\u00a0of nurturing creative processes, delivering effective programming strategies and building content production capabilities,\u201d he added noting that Dogra \u201cpossesses\u00a0a passion for Channel 4 and a deep understanding of its public service remit.\u201d <\/p>\n
