{"id":337760,"date":"2025-12-10T22:59:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T22:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/337760\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T22:59:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T22:59:08","slug":"dudley-named-a-hermann-trophy-finalist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/337760\/","title":{"rendered":"Dudley Named a Hermann Trophy Finalist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TALLAHASSEE, Fla. \u2013 Junior forward <a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/jordynn-dudley\/7883\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"7883\" target=\"_blank\">Jordynn Dudley<\/a> of the Florida State soccer team has been named one of three finalists for the Hermann Trophy, announced on Wednesday by United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAwarded nationally to the college soccer&#8217;s player of the year, Dudley is the eighth finalist in school history. She is the first finalist since Onyi Ochegini won it in 2023, FSU&#8217;s fourth recipient of the prestigious award. Dudley&#8217;s 2025 recognition as a finalist comes after she was named a semifinalist in each of her first two seasons, the first player in program history to be a semifinalist three times in her FSU career.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAll three finalists play in the ACC. The winner will be formally announced at a banquet in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 9, 2026.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWhile leading the Seminoles to their fifth national championship in program history, and her second in her three-year Florida State career, Dudley has been named a First Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches and a National Player of the Year Finalist by Top Drawer Soccer in 2025. An All-Region First Team and First Team All-ACC awardee all three seasons, Dudley twice earned Player of the Week accolades in 2025, nationally by TDS on December 2 and by the ACC on October 28.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIn her third collegiate season, Dudley led the team with 14 assists, 36 points and 88 shots and was second with 11 goals, three game-winning goals and 32 shots on goal in 2025. She registered three braces and five games with at least three points, including a two-goal, one-assist contest in the NCAA Quarterfinal. In the regular season, the Milton, Georgia, native had at least a point in 13 consecutive games, with a goal in seven of those contests and at least two points nine times. Dudley finished the year ranked No. 6 nationally in assists per game (0.64), No. 5 in total assists (14), No. 17 in total points (36) and shots per game (4.00) and No. 20 in points per game (1.64).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nDudley helped the Seminoles win their fifth national championship with a 1-0 win over top-seeded Stanford on Monday night. Florida State posted a 16-2-4 record in 2025.
