He had 12 strikeouts over 8 2\/3 innings, with his fastball topping out at 98.4 m.p.h. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text mv-16 l-inset text-pb-8\" data-sophi-feature=\"interstitial\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/sports\/baseball\/article-dylan-cease-signed-blue-jays-world-series-playoff-run-sold\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sold on their playoff run, Cease wants to help the Blue Jays win the World Series<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Miles was picked by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2022 first-year player draft. He missed the 2023 season after undergoing back surgery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Miles made five appearances in 2024 before he suffered a right flexor strain that led to elbow surgery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-article-body__text text-pr-5\">Rule 5 draft picks are assigned directly to the drafting club\u2019s 26-man roster.
