Hilary Swank<\/a> has issued an apology to a woman she encountered at an airport. <\/p>\n

The 51-year-old actress recently encountered a mom, who was taking her two young kids to Disneyland<\/a> for a Make-A-Wish<\/a> trip, and had a little incident at baggage claim. <\/p>\n

The mom shared on social media that she saw Hilary at the airport and was excited because \u201cI am a fan of her movies and stuff,\u201d but it turned south when she took out her phone. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then I took my phone out because I got distracted and trying to find my Make-A-Wish kids and my husband,\u201d she told Daily Mail<\/a>. \u201cI was trying to call him and I think I just took my phone out the wrong time. She just thought I was taking a picture of her. She was having a bad day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe just said \u2018I hope you enjoy that picture.\u2019 I just looked, like you know, \u2018I was trying to call my husband. I wasn\u2019t taking a picture.\u2019 She just stormed off a little bit,\u201d the mom added. \u201cIt was just the wrong, wrong place one time.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt just hurt my feelings because I was starting my son\u2019s Make-A-Wish trip, which she wouldn\u2019t have known, but just one of those situations where it was one of my first encounters with a celebrity so I thought it was a little comical,\u201d she continued. \u201cWe just don\u2019t know what others are going through and I was just a stressed mom trying to navigate LAX.\u201d<\/p>\n

After sharing the encounter on her Instagram account, the mom did note that Hilary reached out via DM with an apology and explained she just didn\u2019t want her two-year-old twins photographed, and even asked if she could do anything to help out with her sons, who suffer from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is \u201cis a genetic problem that causes muscles to weaken and atrophy (become smaller and waste away), per John Hopkins Medicine<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The mom and her husband also note that they are not \u201cupset\u201d with Hilary.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not trying to get anything from it. It was just kind of like \u2018oh, look at this, that was crazy right? It was unexpected at the start of our trip,\u201d they said. \u201cI did not expect Hilary Swank to directly talk to me.
