Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet is feeding speculation that he could be the anonymous British rapper EsDeeKid<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Various rumours surround the identity of the viral musician, who released his debut album \u201cRebel\u201d in June, has 11.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and who is known for performing while wearing a balaclava.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour fans have lost their minds and they are saying that you are EsDeeKid,\u201d Amanda Holden, host of the \u201cHeart Breakfast\u201d<\/a> radio show, told Chalamet on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Her co-host, Jamie Theakston, then bluntly asked the \u201cDune\u201d star, \u201cIs that true?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI got no comment on that,\u201d replied Chalamet, who was on the show to promote his latest film, \u201cMarty Supreme.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response to gasps and an \u201cOh, come on,\u201d the 29-year-old insisted, \u201cI got not comment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got the same eyes,\u201d Holden then said, echoing talk online about the physical similarities between the two.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got two words on that,\u201d Chalamet said, and then hesitated.<\/p>\n

After finding his words, the actor said, \u201cAll will be revealed in due time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Social media is flooded with supposed reasons why Chalamet could be EsDeeKid.<\/p>\n

As well as comparing their eyes<\/a>, fans have also pointed out that they wear similar clothes, including the same skull-print scarf<\/a>. Chalamet was spotted attending a concert<\/a> in August by British rapper Fakemink, who is featured on EsDeeKid\u2019s viral February song \u201cLV Sandals.\u201d And Chalamet revealed on \u201cThe Graham Norton Show\u201d<\/a> in 2019 that he used to rap when he was in school and went by the rap name \u201cLil Timmy Tim.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou both have that scarf. He\u2019s always performing when you seem to be doing, like, screenings and promos,\u201d Theakston said, adding again that their eyes are \u201csimilar\u201d and pointing out that Chalamet was \u201ca rapper in school.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou were Little Timmy when you were 12,\u201d Holden said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLil Timmy Tim,\u201d Chalamet said, laughing, adding, \u201cLet me tell you, Lil Timmy does not have the same ring to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the theory could be convincing, there is a potential stumbling block: EsDeeKid speaks with a Liverpool accent.<\/p>\n

However, fans point out that, as a twice-Oscar-nominated actor, Chalamet may well have skills in the dialect department.<\/p>\n
