PHOTO: GATE-CANADA.CA\/SCREEN CAPTURE\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 125px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 125\/50;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                Land agreement inked for Cereals Canada GATE facility<\/p>\n<p class=\"gfm-article-sneak-peak-component--post-text\">James Richardson &amp; Sons, Limited will provide land for the Global Agriculture Technology Exchange (GATE) building in Winnipeg, according to memorandum of understanding with Cereals Canada <\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<p>CentrePort is one of the continent\u2019s biggest inland ports, with more than 2,300 acres already in use.<\/p>\n<p>The province said the one-time contribution is $200,000 more than last year\u2019s operating grant and will help CentrePort move ahead with key projects.<\/p>\n<p>Investment from the private sector has hit over $1 billion for CentrePort Canada throughout the years, and more will come in the future, said Carly Edmundson, president and CEO of CentrePort Canada Inc.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis kind of economic progress is only possible when there is strong collaboration with business and like-minded partners in government,\u201d Edmundson said.<\/p>\n<p>The government is also studying the provincial roadway system to plan long-term upgrades around the Inland Port Special Planning Area.<\/p>\n<p>The projects are meant to support <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manitobacooperator.ca\/daily\/fcc-forecasts-rocky-financial-year-points-to-waning-business-confidence-vcool-interest-rates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">trade and <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.manitobacooperator.ca\/daily\/fcc-forecasts-rocky-financial-year-points-to-waning-business-confidence-vcool-interest-rates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">business<\/a>, lead to new development, and improve access to northern Manitoba and the Port of Churchill.
