Taylor Swift\u2019s Eras Tour documentary is revealing more about the physical and emotional strain of the past two years than even the most diehard Swifties could have predicted \u2014\u00a0and for the 14-time Grammy winner, this is just the tip of the iceberg.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the premiere of the first two episodes on Disney+, Swift stopped by \u201cThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert\u201d<\/a> to discuss some of the more personal aspects of her life on tour, including the costume that made her feel like she could power through even the most challenging performances.<\/p>\n

The crystal-covered Versace bodysuit<\/a>, the first costume she appears in during the opening \u201cLover\u201d segment, was akin to body armor for the singer, who spent nearly two years on the road selling out 149 performances. <\/p>\n

Given the demands of the show, it\u2019s understandable that the \u201cShake It Off\u201d singer found strength in unusual places. <\/p>\n

She recalled the designer bodysuit being particularly empowering, reviving her spirits on especially trying days. \u201cI was constantly in a lot of physical pain, but when I put that on, I was just like, \u2018No, this is popping. I\u2019m doing it. We\u2019re going,\u201d she told Colbert.<\/p>\n

Whether suffering from physical aches and pains or even battling a stomach virus \u2014\u00a0which she apparently did multiple times while on the road \u2014 Swift would put on the sparkly Versace costume and feel prepared to deliver the performance of a lifetime for her adoring fans at each stop along the tour.<\/p>\n

On \u201cColbert,\u201d the singer, who turns 36 tomorrow, compared the look to an outfit she wore when she performed the national anthem at age 11.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you just know that when you put this on, you\u2019re like, \u2018I\u2019m sorry. I\u2019m just unstoppable today,\u201d she recalled of the American flag shirt and red duster sweater she wore in 2001.<\/p>\n

Swifties will swoon over all of the behind-the-scenes tour footage in the documentary. Disney+<\/p>\n

As of today, the first two episodes are available to watch on Disney+. Disney<\/p>\n

Safe to say, Swift\u2019s wardrobe budget \u2014\u00a0and performance prowess \u2014\u00a0have come a long way over the past two and a half decades.<\/p>\n

As for the multiple iterations of the Versace bodysuit? We have a feeling they\u2019ll wind up being just as iconic in Swiftie lore as her Artifex Fine engagement ring from Travis Kelce<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Of course, we wouldn\u2019t blame Swift for hanging on to the crystal-covered costume for special occasions, or simply having it on hand when she needs to strike a power pose.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just one example of how the entertainment icon uses fashion to channel her most fearless self. <\/p>\n
