Dearica Hamby<\/a> and the Las Vegas Aces<\/a> have mutally agreed to dismiss a lawsuit that was filed by the WNBA player, according to Front Office Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hamby alleged that she was discriminated against and traded by the Aces during her pregnancy in 2023. She filed a complaint regarding the situation in August 2024.<\/p>\n

According to the lawsuit, Aces head coach Becky Hammon \u201cquestioned Hamby\u2019s commitment and dedication\u201d to the team and accused her of signing the extension knowing she was pregnant.<\/p>\n

The two sides filed a motion to proceed with dismissing the lawsuit on Dec. 11 in a U.S. District Court in Nevada. Both sides also agreed to pay for their own attorney fees and costs without demands from the opposing side.<\/p>\n

The forward was drafted by the San Antonio Stars in 2015 before moving with the franchise to Las Vegas in 2018. She spent eight seasons with the team before being traded to the Los Angeles Spark in in January 2023.<\/p>\n

In March 2023, she gave birth to her son before going on to play a then-career-high 40 games in her first year with Los Angeles. Hamby is preparing for her fourth season with the Sparks.<\/p>\n
