Hamilton police say the actions of a city bus driver and a child caregiver didn’t contribute to the death of a seven-year-old who was hit and killed by a bus on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The boy was hit by an HSR bus near the intersection of Emerald Street North and Wilson Street at around 1:12 p.m., according to police.<\/p>\n
Police said based on witness statements and gathered video, “investigators do not believe that the actions of the bus driver or the child\u2019s caregiver contributed to this tragic incident.”<\/p>\n

Tuck also said he recognized the “profound impact” on the driver involved, who is “devastated” by what happened.<\/p>\n
