The Toronto Blue Jays may have already made a huge splash this offseason with the addition of Dylan Cease to their starting rotation<\/a>. But that doesn\u2019t mean that the Blue Jays are already done big fish hunting.<\/p>\n

In fact, ESPN MLB insiders Jesse Rogers and Jeff Passan predict that Toronto will swing for the fences before the winter is over. That is by the time all is said and done, the Blue Jays will have superstar Kyle Tucker and fan favourite Bo Bichette, as a part of their contending core going forward.<\/p>\n

For Rogers, he confirmed his stance for top free agent Kyle Tucker landing with the Blue Jays<\/a> this offseason recently on a Chicago-based station show \u201cWaddle and Silvy\u201d, but with a favourable catch from Toronto\u2019s perspective. \u201cI do think he\u2019ll (Tucker) end up in Toronto \u2026 it\u2019s just not going to be for the massive, massive deal that maybe a year ago people thought, or he even thought,\u201d said Rogers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If the Blue Jays can secure Tucker\u2019s services at a much more economical rate than expected, that would be a huge win for the franchise. That is because not only will they have one of the best budding stars in the game, they will have enough resources left to land another big free agent, say Bichette?<\/p>\n

As for Passan on a recent MLB Tonight show on ESPN, he apparently went one step further claiming that the Blue Jays could be reeling in two big fish at the same time, indicating that \u201cthere is definitely a chance the Blue Jays could land Tucker AND Bichette\u201d. If that is the case, he believes that Toronto should vault into juggernaut status and be the favourites to win the AL pennant every season going forward.<\/p>\n

To have two players that can hit for a strong average, produce an OPS over .800 while scoring and driving in 100 runs on average per season in both Tucker and Bichette is already a combo that will be hard for contain in itself. But to pair them with perennial MVP candidate Vladimir Guerrero Jr. along with a revamped starting rotation<\/a> that could be one of the tops in the league, it would make the Blue Jays a complete nightmare to play against for any MLB team in 2026 and possibly beyond.<\/p>\n

The conundrum may be that many have heard these rumblings all offseason, so swirling rumors are just that, rumors. But if the Blue Jays were actually serious in creating a winning legacy for the foreseeable future, then this eye-popping prediction coming to fruition could surprisingly become more plausible.<\/p>\n
