So when some songs on Apple Music displayed new lyrics for \u201cI Did Something Bad\u201d and \u201cDelicate\u201d after the singer\u2019s catalog was added to the platform\u2019s new Dolby Atmos feature, well, fans let the (clowning) games begin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe scorching verse on \u201cI Did Something Bad\u201d was changed to pack even more heat. Instead of \u201cIf a man talks shit, then I owe him nothing \/ I don\u2019t regret it one bit \u2019cause he had it coming,\u201d Taylor now sings, \u201cIf a man talks shit, then I owe him nothin\u2019 \/ And if he calls me a bitch, then he had it coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe revision for \u201cDelicate\u201d was more minor. On the original, Swift sings \u201cOh, damn, never seen that color blue,\u201d and in the Apple Music Dolby Atmos version she sings, \u201cGoddamn never seen that color blue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThough the changes were small, fans took them as Easter eggs for something bigger. Some were <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/t\/ZP8UKTxb1\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/t\/ZP8UKTxb1\/\" target=\"_blank\">convinced<\/a> Swift had quietly dropped <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-swift-reputation-taylors-version-not-releasing-1235351379\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-swift-reputation-taylors-version-not-releasing-1235351379\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reputation (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/a> and that they were listening to a re-recording of the singer\u2019s sixth album. What else could explain the crisp sound and revamped vocals? (Well, Dolby Atmos probably). Other fans <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/t\/ZP8UE8juV\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/t\/ZP8UE8juV\/\" target=\"_blank\">believed <\/a>the specific changes to Reputation songs were clues for the vault tracks Swift hinted at earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThere will be a time (if you\u2019re into the idea) for the unreleased Vault tracks from [Reputation] to hatch,\u201d she said in a <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-swift-reputation-taylors-version-not-releasing-1235351379\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-swift-reputation-taylors-version-not-releasing-1235351379\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">letter to fans<\/a> announcing the news she had bought her masters back. \u201cI\u2019ve already completely re-recorded my entire debut album, and I really love how it sounds now. Those 2 albums can still have their moments to re-emerge when the time is right, if that would be something you guys would be excited about. But if it happens, it won\u2019t be from a place of sadness and longing for what I wish I could have. Like many Swifties, the singer admitted to having conflicted feelings about listening to what fans dubbed the \u201cstolen\u201d master versions before Taylor bought them back this year. \u201cI\u2019d hear the song \u2018Ready For It\u2019 and I\u2019d be like, \u2018Man that song goes hard.&#8217;\u201d She could\u2019ve mentioned tracks from her self-titled debut, like \u201cOur Song\u201d or \u201cShould\u2019ve Said No,\u201d but, no, the star specifically pointed out Reputation songs.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p>\t\tEditor\u2019s picks<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tDuring that same interview, Colbert made it a point to ask Taylor about the moment from her <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-id=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6342806\/person-of-the-year-2023-taylor-swift\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6342806\/person-of-the-year-2023-taylor-swift\/\" target=\"_blank\">Time<\/a> interview where she discussed Gandalf from Lord of the Rings. Coincidentally, in that specific paragraph, Taylor promises that the Reputation vault tracks are \u201cfire.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m collecting infinity stones. Gandalf\u2019s voice is in my head every time I put out a new one. For me, it is a movie now,\u201d she told Time. What did she end up releasing the same day as these\u00a0Reputation\u00a0lyric changes? Well, the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show concert film (along with the Eras Tour documentary series, <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-swift-reputation-taylors-version-not-releasing-1235351379\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/taylor-swift-reputation-taylors-version-not-releasing-1235351379\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The End of an Era<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tMaybe Swifties keep obsessing over\u00a0Reputation\u00a0because Taylor makes it so easy. The lyric changes themselves may not point to much, or even necessarily be an Easter egg, but the fact that it happened at all still leaves us wondering what else is coming. It\u2019s unlikely the world will get a full re-recording since Swift described\u00a0Reputation\u00a0as \u201cthe one album in those first 6 that I thought couldn\u2019t be improved upon by redoing it.\u201d But those vault tracks have yet to be released.
