{"id":343062,"date":"2025-12-13T18:06:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-13T18:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/343062\/"},"modified":"2025-12-13T18:06:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-13T18:06:08","slug":"jets-superfan-cancels-nfl-season-tickets-cites-years-of-calamity-in-viral-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/343062\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets Superfan Cancels NFL Season Tickets, Cites Years of &#8216;Calamity&#8217; in Viral Post"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The New York Jets lost one superfan after falling to 3-10 and officially out of playoff contention with last Sunday&#8217;s loss to the Miami Dolphins.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Ray Hoffman, a fan known as &#8220;Captain Jet&#8221; for the helmet and green cape he wears to games, wrote in a social media post he wouldn&#8217;t be renewing his season tickets for 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">&#8220;The captain can&#8217;t take no more,&#8221; Hoffman wrote, citing a season ticket price of $2600 for what he described as &#8220;that calamity they have been putting out there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The Jets opened the 2025 season on a seven-game losing streak.
