Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese revealed that she expects to remain with the team heading into the 2026 season. <\/p>\n
“I’m under contract, so yes, I plan on returning to the Sky,” Reese said Friday, per Sabreena Merchant<\/a> of The Athletic. “(I’m) continuing to talk to (coach) Tyler (Marsh) and building that relationship with (general manager) Jeff (Pagliocca) and Tyler.”<\/p>\n Reese has been the subject of trade speculation<\/a> following Chicago’s tumultuous 2025 campaign, finishing with a record of 10-34. <\/p>\n The two-time All-Star wasn’t satisfied with the overall year from the Sky, expressing her desire for the team to make improvements in a Sept. 3 interview with\u00a0Julia Poe<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0Chicago Tribune.<\/p>\n “I’m not settling for the same s–t we did this year,” Reese told Poe. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me.<\/p>\n “I’m willing and wanting to play with the best. And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason. So it’s going to be very, very important this offseason to make sure we attract the best of the best because we can’t settle for what we have this year.”<\/p>\n The Sky subsequently\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0that she was suspended for the first half of a game against the Las Vegas Aces due to “statements detrimental to the team.”<\/p>\n
