\n\tIs Cristiano Ronaldo<\/a> joining the Fast & Furious family? Possibly so.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tVin Diesel<\/a>, the star and a producer of the beloved car franchise, teased the professional soccer player\u2019s involvement in the upcoming planned finale film on Instagram Friday. The two posed for a photo together, both dishing out thumbs ups, as the actor shared that he created a role for Ronaldo.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEveryone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology\u2026 I gotta tell you he is a real one,\u201d Diesel captioned<\/a> the post. \u201cWe wrote a role for him\u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter reached out to Diesel and Ronaldo\u2019s teams for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile it hasn\u2019t been officially confirmed that the soccer star will appear in the 11th Fast movie<\/a>, Diesel recently said that Paul Walker\u2019s character Brian O\u2019Conner may pop up in the film. At Fuel Fest in June, he revealed the movie will be released in April 2027<\/a>, a release time he agreed upon with Universal Studios \u201cunder three conditions.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJust yesterday I was with Universal Studios. \u2026 The studio said to me, \u2018Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious [in] April 2027?\u2019 I said, \u2018Under three conditions because I\u2019ve been listening to my fan base,\u2019\u201d he explained, noting that he wanted the franchise to return to Los Angeles, \u201creturn to the car culture, to the street racing\u201d and also reunite his and Walker\u2019s characters onscreen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O\u2019Conner,\u201d Diesel said. \u201cThat is what you\u2019re going to get in the finale.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWalker died<\/a> on Nov. 30, 2013 in a car accident. At the time, he was shooting for\u00a0Fast & Furious 7<\/a>, and not all of his scenes were finished. However, Walker\u2019s Brian was able to appear in the final scene<\/a> of the movie using CGI, VFX artists and his two brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker, to create 350 shots.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe last scene of Fast & Furious 7 saw Diesel\u2019s Dominic Toretto and Walker\u2019s Brian have a final moment together in their cars before driving off in separate directions. VFX supervisor Joe Letteri explained to <\/a>THR<\/a> how they executed the scene through CGI, VFX and Walker\u2019s brothers, further acknowledging the weight of the moment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere really wasn\u2019t room to let anything slip. It was too important to complete the story in respect to Paul\u2019s memory \u2014 to make sure that when you watched it, you didn\u2019t think about any of the work that we did,\u201d he said. \u201cIf you were a fan, you were watching Paul\u2019s performance and saying goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n
