Samuel Montembeault is an incredible teammate, and it’s important to remind people of that.<\/p>\n

Let’s recall that over the past few days, he has quite literally been pushed aside by rookie Jacob Fowler,<\/a> who is in the process of taking his job, and Montembeault would have every reason in the world not to be the happiest guy right now.<\/p>\n

We’ve seen many goaltenders sulk for far less than that. And how does Samuel react? By being an absolutely exemplary teammate.<\/p>\n

There is one sequence in particular, one specific gesture, that was noticed on social media, but there were several others like it.<\/p>\n

Samuel Montembeault is an incredible teammate for Jacob Fowler<\/p>\n

Montembeault genuinely seems to want Fowler to win and to succeed!<\/p>\n

Notably this Saturday night, during the game against the New York Rangers, Montembeault flashed a huge smile (caught on camera) after the goal scored by Arber Xhekaj.<\/p>\n

It goes in the same direction as what we saw against the Pittsburgh Penguins, when Montembeault was practically the first to rush over to congratulate Fowler and jump into his arms.<\/p>\n

“Meanwhile, Montembeault welcomes Xhekaj to the bench with a HUGE smile.<\/p>\n

You can be certain that the goaltender will never be a distraction for his team.<\/p>\n

It’s a gesture that may seem insignificant, but it says so much about the quality of the person that Samuel Montembeault is.<\/p>\n
