Dave Allen<\/a> is hoping for a big year after finding some of his best form, and that could be a fight with a former heavyweight ruler.<\/p>\n

Doncaster\u2019s \u2018White Rhino\u2019 is a popular fighter both in and out of the ring. His up-and-down career reached new heights recently when he stopped Johnny Fisher in their rematch<\/a> after a rather controversial draw in their fight, and then he went into a matchup with the towering Russian Arslanbek Makmuhdov.<\/p>\n

Although he lost on the cards, he was competitive throughout and at one stage looked a few punches away from securing an epic KO win.<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking recently to iFL TV<\/a>, Allen expressed his keenness to fight former champion and larger-than-life character Shannon Briggs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll do an exhibition. I\u2019m open to doing that. I\u2019d love to share the ring with him in any capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n

For his part, Brooklyn\u2019s Briggs was just as keen on the idea.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like that, I like that fight yeah, in England, that\u2019s my home, I love it. After I knock out Rampage, me and him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Briggs and MMA star Rampage Jackson have been linked to fight a number of times before as far back as 2024, but as of yet it has not happened. \u2018The Cannon\u2019 last fought in 2016 and has previously shared the ring with greats like Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko.<\/p>\n
