The WNBA is at a crossroads as the collective bargaining agreement negotiations between owners and the players\u2019 union continue. <\/p>\n
Most of the conversation revolves around the players\u2019 salary structure and revenue share. The two sides have agreed to multiple extensions<\/a> of the current CBA; it is currently set to expire Jan. 9, 2026.<\/p>\n While there is plenty of offseason remaining to get something worked out\u2014the 2026 college draft is currently scheduled for April 13\u2014the gravity of these talks is not lost on one of the league\u2019s biggest superstars. <\/p>\n \u201cThis is the biggest moment the WNBA has ever seen,\u201d Fever guard Caitlin Clark said Friday at the United States women\u2019s basketball team training camp at Duke. \u201cIt\u2019s not something that can be messed up. We\u2019re going to fight for everything that we deserve. But at the same time, like, we need to play basketball.
