The English-born singer, actress, and fashion icon <a href=\"https:\/\/stereogum.com\/2230226\/jane-birkin-dead-at-76\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">died<\/a> in 2023, and this weekend, her adoptive hometown of Paris honored her legacy by renaming the &#8220;passerelle des Douanes&#8221; to &#8220;passerelle Jane Birkin.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The newly-named Jane Birkin Footbridge is the oldest bridge crossing the Canal Saint-Martin, in Paris&#8217; 10th arrondissement.
