{"id":346571,"date":"2025-12-15T10:59:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-15T10:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/346571\/"},"modified":"2025-12-15T10:59:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T10:59:07","slug":"inflation-in-canada-november-data-expected-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/346571\/","title":{"rendered":"Inflation in Canada: November data expected today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">OTTAWA \u2014 Statistics Canada is set to publish inflation figures for November this morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A Reuters poll ahead of the release showed the consensus among economists was for headline inflation for the month to come in at 2.3 per cent, according to LSEG Data &amp; Analytics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">That would mark a slight increase from October\u2019s reading of 2.2 per cent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Economists say gasoline prices are likely behind the uptick in the annual inflation rate for November. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">They also expect food price growth to continue outpacing overall inflation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The November CPI report comes after the Bank of Canada maintained its key policy rate at 2.25 per cent last week, its last rate decision of the year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">This report by The Canadian Press was first published Dec. 15, 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"OTTAWA \u2014 Statistics Canada is set to publish inflation figures for November this morning.
