A pair of Canadians have earned their spot on the PGA Tour next season.<\/p>\n
A.J. Ewart and Adam Svensson took home Tour cards for 2026 after a pair of impressive showings at the final stage of Q-School from TPC Sawgrass in Ponta Vedra Beach, Fla., on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Ewart, 26, shot a final-round four-under 66 to win the tournament at 14-under for his second victory as a professional, gaining the first Tour card of his career in the process.<\/p>\n
The Coquitlam, B.C., native previously won the Elk Ridge Saskatchewan Open in 2024 while on the PGA Tour Americas circuit.<\/p>\n
\u201cI came here with the goal to win a golf tournament,\u201d said Ewart. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t necessarily to finish in the top five, or 25. It was to go and prepare to win a golf tournament so to do it feels great. I\u2019m thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ewart now skips the Korn Ferry Tour altogether after playing on the Americas Tour since 2023.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m glad I don\u2019t have to be out there,\u201d said Ewart. \u201cYou want to move forward, and playing on the Americas Tour the goal is to get to the Korn Ferry Tour.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I got here it was like, \u2018Okay, the dream is to get on the PGA Tour, let\u2019s get there as quick as we can.\u2019 I\u2019m not getting younger by any means, so it\u2019s like why not now?\u201d<\/p>\n
Rounds of 66-67-67-66 helped Ewart to a two-stroke victory over Svensson, who finished in a tie for second at 12-under.<\/p>\n
Svensson, 31, has made 159 starts on the PGA Tour over the course of his career, and was exempt through the 2025 season as a tournament winner at the 2022 RSM Classic.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was nervous the whole day,\u201d Svensson said. \u201cMy heart rate was going 90 per cent of the day. I\u2019m just so happy it\u2019s over.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m extremely happy,\u201d added the Surrey, B.C. native. \u201cTo get [a Tour card] back after a rough year, it\u2019s special.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ben Silverman of Thornhill, Ont., narrowly missed out on the fifth and final Tour card handed out Sunday, losing in a sudden death playoff to American Dylan Wu.<\/p>\n
Wu drained a 20-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to deny Silverman a fifth-place finish that would have come with a Tour card.<\/p>\n
Wu, alongside Alejandro Tosti and Marcelo Rozo took home the other three cards handed out on the final day of Q-School, booking their spots on Tour for next season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A pair of Canadians have earned their spot on the PGA Tour next season.
