The CFL has released its 2026 schedule<\/a>, which means Rider fans can start marking their calendars.<\/p>\n

The Saskatchewan Roughriders \u2013 who return in 2026 as the defending Grey Cup champions<\/a> \u2013 will open the league\u2019s preseason with an away game against the Calgary Stampeders on May 18, the earliest start ever for the team. The Riders then welcome the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for a preseason game in Saskatoon on May 23, which will mark the first CFL game played in the Bridge City since 1991.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s schedule also features 10 home games for the Green and White instead of the usual nine, giving fans an extra chance to watch their team in action. This is due to the FIFA World Cup being played in Toronto, forcing the Argonauts on the road for extra weeks.<\/p>\n

Fans will need to wait an extra week to celebrate the 2025 Grey Cup win. Saskatchewan will have a Week 1 bye before the team will welcome the B.C. Lions to Mosaic Stadium for the home opener on June 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cFans will be treated to a special celebration of the Club\u2019s fifth Championship when the regular season kicks off on Saturday, June 13th, following their 25-17 triumph over the Montreal Alouettes,\u201d the Saskatchewan Roughriders said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore details on this landmark moment in Roughrider history will be revealed in the new year.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Grey Cup rematch won\u2019t take place until Oct. 12 when the Riders travel to Montreal to take on the Alouettes. It will be the Thanksgiving Monday CFL game.<\/p>\n

The Roughriders\u2019 season also features a game in Calgary on June 20, followed by a visit to Mosaic Stadium by the Toronto Argonauts on June 26. In Week 5, the Riders hit the road to take on the Ottawa Redblacks on July 3, followed by a return to home turf on July 12 when they face off against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Riders get another rest during Week 7, then the team welcomes the Edmonton Elks to Mosaic on July 23.<\/p>\n

On Aug. 1, the Riders will visit Edmonton to take on the Elks once again, and the Redblacks will stop in Saskatchewan on Aug. 7.<\/p>\n

The Riders will visit Hamilton on Aug. 15 and B.C. on Aug. 23. Toronto visits Saskatchewan on Aug. 29, followed by a visit from Winnipeg on Sept. 6 for the annual Labour Day Classic. The Riders then head to Winnipeg for a rematch on Sept. 12, followed by another bye week.<\/p>\n

The rest of the 2026 season will see the Riders head to B.C. on Sept. 25, a visit from Calgary on Oct.2, a home game against Montreal on Oct. 17 and a visit by Edmonton on Oct. 24 to conclude the regular season.<\/p>\n

Week 15 of the CFL season will feature four games, all being played on the same day. The games mark the league\u2019s first quadruple-header since 1995.<\/p>\n

The Grey Cup will be played on Nov. 15 at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alta.<\/p>\n

The Roughriders noted that season tickets are currently at their lowest prices of the year<\/a>, with early bird discounts in place until Jan. 31.<\/p>\n

Quarterback Trevor Harris will continue to lead the Riders during the 2026 campaign.
