Meryl Streep and Martin Short<\/a> want to take the next step and get hitched, but her divorce to Don Gummer is still dragging on \u2014 now, a source tells Globe that it\u2019s giving them cause for major stress heading into 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cMartin is getting impatient,\u201d the source says. \u201cHe\u2019s so gaga for Meryl<\/a>, and he\u2019s a very old-fashioned guy. He wants them to get married and live together. Meryl says she wants to marry him too, but she hasn\u2019t made getting her divorce finalized a priority.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source adds that Streep\u2019s ex is \u201cdragging his feet\u201d and the Devil Wears Prada star, 76, \u201cdoesn\u2019t want to press it.\u201d<\/p>\n
