Las Vegas Aces superstar A\u2019ja Wilson didn\u2019t appreciate Rachel Nichols\u2019 line of questioning when the former ESPNer brought up her relationship with Heat forward Bam Adebayo during an interview with Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.<\/p>\n

The \u201cOpen Run\u201d<\/a> personality, who spoke with the reigning NBA MVP at the Emirates NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas, brought up an apparent meme suggesting that Thunder general manager Sam Presti is so motivated to bring talent to OKC that he would show up to Wilson and Adebayo\u2019s sonogram appointment.<\/p>\n

Nichols explained that Wilson recently told Time magazine that she and Adebayo are excited to start a family together one day. <\/p>\n

\u201cBecause A\u2019ja was named Time magazine\u2019s Athlete of the Year, and she\u2019s doing a bunch of interviews and talking about her and Bam and their relationship\u2026 someone joked that Sam Presti would be at the sonogram if they had kids together. Is he that much of a scout?\u201d Nichols said. <\/p>\n

\u201cSam takes his job very serious, and whatever it takes to be great, he will do,\u201d replied Gilgeous-Alexander, who laughed at the questions.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo Bam Adebayo, if you ever decide to have kids, Sam Presti\u2019s going to knock on your door,\u201d Nichols joked.<\/p>\n

Wilson said she thought it was a strange moment. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t think this a lil strange orrrr weird..???\u201d\u00a0the three-time WNBA champ wrote<\/a> on Threads. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I guess it\u2019s a slow day in the office.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adebayo added<\/a>, \u201cThis is why privacy matters.\u201d <\/p>\n

The pair has been dating for about four years, first connecting at the\u00a0Tokyo Olympics\u00a0in 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is always a dream,\u201d Wilson told Time magazine<\/a> of starting a family with the Heat star. \u201cThis is my life partner. Honestly, what on earth was my world before you? That\u2019s how much he\u2019s impacted my life, my family\u2019s life.\u201d <\/p>\n

Nichols has yet to respond as of Monday. <\/p>\n

ESPN fired Nichols after she made\u00a0disparaging \u201cdiversity\u201d comments<\/a>\u00a0about then-colleague Maria Taylor in leaked audio, which was made public in July 2021. <\/p>\n

Taylor left ESPN, where she worked from 2013-2021, and joined NBC Sports that same month.<\/p>\n
