Florida Panthers<\/a> defenceman Seth Jones<\/a> is not expected to face supplemental discipline for what appeared to be an elbow to the head of Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a> forward Brandon Hagel<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Jones was not penalized for the hit during his team\u2019s 5-2 win on Monday night, while Hagel was shaken up and did not return after the third-period hit. Lightning head coach Jon Cooper did not have an update on his status post-game.<\/p>\n

A total of 36 penalty minutes were handed out Monday as the Panthers and Lightning renewed their rivalry, which heated up last spring in a first-round playoff series between the two. <\/p>\n

Not expecting Seth Jones to receive any supplemental discipline for the hit that knocked Brandon Hagel out of last night’s game. <\/p>\n

There’s obviously a long history between the teams, and #TBLightning<\/a> weren’t happy with the play.<\/p>\n

Jones, 31, has five goals and 19 points in 32 games this season, his first full season with the team after being acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n

Hagel, 27, has 18 goals and 31 points in 32 points this season. The Saskatoon,Sask. native is under consideration for Canada\u2019s Olympic roster after playing with the team at the 4 Nations Face-Off last winter.<\/p>\n
