{"id":349924,"date":"2025-12-16T23:49:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-16T23:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/349924\/"},"modified":"2025-12-16T23:49:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T23:49:07","slug":"pedestrian-critical-after-being-hit-by-driver-of-vehicle-in-mississauga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/349924\/","title":{"rendered":"Pedestrian critical after being hit by driver of vehicle in Mississauga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A man is fighting for his life in the hospital after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in Mississauga late Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The collision happened near Dixie and Rathburn roads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peel Regional Police said they were called to that area just before 4 p.m. for reports of an adult male pedestrian who had been hit by a tow truck.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators said both the driver and their vehicle remained on scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The pedestrian, meanwhile, is in life-threatening condition. A media officer told CTV News Toronto that they are \u201cbeing stabilized.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Rathburn is currently closed in both directions between Dixie and Bough Beeches Boulevard and police are asking drivers to use alternate routes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">More to come.
