New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu and former NFL lineman Hroniss Grasu<\/a>‘s California home\u00a0was broken into on Monday, Dec. 15.\n<\/p>\n Two unidentified thieves broke into a home in the L.A. area Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Online property records viewed by PEOPLE confirm that the home belongs to the couple.\n<\/p>\n When reached for comment, the LAPD told PEOPLE that the thieves “took property and fled [in] an unknown direction” shortly after 8 p.m. local time.\n<\/p>\n Hroniss Grasu, Sabrina Ionescu.<\/p>\n Paul Citone\/Variety via Getty<\/p>\n The homeowners were not home at the time of the burglary, during which a security alarm was activated when someone “used a tool to smash a glass door” and enter the residence, police said.\n<\/p>\n While the LAPD did not specify what was taken from the home, NBC 4 Los Angeles<\/a>, citing authorities, reported the suspects were wearing ski masks and made off with various handbags totaling $60,000.\n<\/p>\n The LAPD took a report and is reviewing security camera footage. As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made, police confirmed to PEOPLE.\n<\/p>\n PEOPLE has reached out to Ionescu’s representatives for comment.\n<\/p>\n Ionescu and Grasu married in March 2024<\/a> after the former football star popped the question in January 2023<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n “Definitely, getting married was the highlight<\/a>, just being able to kind of put the world on pause for two weeks and be able to celebrate something that is just so special,” Ionescu\u00a0told PEOPLE in May 2024 about her wedding during the offseason.\n<\/p>\n Sabrina Ionescu.<\/p>\n Steph Chambers\/Getty<\/p>\n Grasu was a third-round pick by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 NFL Draft<\/a> and spent seven seasons in the NFL<\/a>.
