Henry Cejudo might not agree with Arman Tsarukyan<\/a>‘s title snub, but he understands why it happened.<\/p>\n

Tsarukyan finds himself without a fight after UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria<\/a> opted to take some time off due to ongoing legal issues with his ex-wife<\/a>. As a result, the promotion booked Justin Gaethje<\/a> and Paddy Pimblett<\/a> for the interim belt at UFC 324 on Jan. 24 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

So where does that leave Tsarukyan? Cejudo has some advice for the 29-year-old.<\/p>\n

“I thought Arman Tsarukyan deserved it,” Cejudo told MMA Arena (h\/t Red Corner MMA<\/a>). “But I can see why Dana White and the UFC didn’t give it to him because he didn’t fight when they needed him to. He had the opportunity, so now he says get to the back of the line. If I’m Arman, I’m looking to fight as frequently as I possibly can because you’ve got to get better.”<\/p>\n

After running through Dan Hooker<\/a> last month in Qatar, Tsarukyan (23-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) has already been keeping himself busy \u2013 but not in the octagon. The No. 1-ranked lightweight will take on Mehdi Baydulaev in a grappling match at ACBJJ 20 on Wednesday in Moscow. He is also booked against UFC middleweight Shara Magomedov for another grappling match under the Hype FC banner on Dec. 30.<\/p>\n
