The Toronto Blue Jays<\/a> are coming off a season where they were just one win shy of claiming the World Series. Instead, it was the Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> who went back-to-back for the first time in over two decades. However, the Blue Jays aren\u2019t playing around this winter, as top free agent Kyle Tucker has already visited their facilities in an effort to lure him to Toronto.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Blue Jays welcomed Kyle Tucker to their Dunedin complex this afternoon, reports Robert Murray of FanSided. Murray writes that the Jays continue to have interest in both Tucker and Bo Bichette,\u201d MLB Trade Rumors\u2019 Anthony Franco wrote.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays have already made power moves in free agency, and they are still looking to add more. Another top name is Bo Bichette, whose contract is expected to be substantial if the team wants to bring him back.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018The key question facing Bichette’s free agency is how teams will view him positionally. If a club is willing to stomach his shortstop defense, then the comparison to Willy Adames’ agreement with the Giants (seven years, $182 million) is a good reference point. I’m going to assume that will be the case, at least in the short term. I’ll add in some extra coin because of Bichette’s age advantage and inflation. However, MLB insider Mark Feinsand doesn\u2019t believe the Blue Jays will land both Tucker and Bichette this offseason \u2014 which might not be the worst-case scenario.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing that I don’t see is Toronto getting Tucker and Bichette,\u201d Feinsand said.<\/a><\/p>\n

He isn\u2019t suggesting the Blue Jays can\u2019t get at least one; rather, they likely won\u2019t be able to acquire both. At this point, the team must choose its priority: sign the biggest name on the market or retain the player who has been in the clubhouse since day one.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see which route the Blue Jays take, but it\u2019s clearly a tough decision. Tucker brings star power, while Bichette remains a fan favorite.<\/p>\n
