The moment Nick Reiner<\/a> was arrested on suspicion of killing his parents was captured on newly released surveillance camera footage from a Los Angeles gas station.<\/p>\n

The youngest son of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer was charged with two counts of murder <\/a>on Tuesday, two days after his parents were found dead with<\/a> apparent stab wounds. He is being held in jail without bail and is due to be arraigned in court later on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The footage, obtained by NBC Los Angeles<\/a>, shows Nick Reiner, 32, being confronted by four police vehicles at around 9:15 p.m. Sunday as he walked across a street near the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, about 15 miles from his parents’ home. He can be seen putting his hands above his head, dressed in a black and green sweater, a hat and wearing a red backpack.<\/p>\n

The footage shows him moments earlier wandering around a gas station convenience store, before getting in line with a bottled drink in hand. <\/p>\n

Sources told NBC News that Nick Reiner made guests uncomfortable<\/a> at a holiday party hosted by Conan O’Brien on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The family has spoken publicly about his history of battling addiction, which has seen him in and out of rehabilitation programs since he was a teenager. <\/p>\n

Tributes to Rob Reiner and his work have flooded social media and news outlets in the wake of his death. <\/p>\n

A long list of friends and collaborators, including Billy Crystal, Larry David and Martin Short, released a joint tribute Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

They said that Reiner “not only was a great comic actor, he became a master storyteller.”<\/p>\n

“From comedy to drama to \u2018mockumentary\u2019 to documentary he was always at the top of his game. He charmed audiences. They trusted him. They lined up to see his films,” they said.<\/p>\n

The statement added that the couple “were a special force together-dynamic, unselfish and inspiring. We were their friends, and we will miss them forever.”<\/p>\n
