The recent new additions have all come in the form of street circuits, such as the upcoming Madring circuit for the Spanish Grand Prix and the Las Vegas street circuit, and have been met with some criticism from the more traditional fans.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Definitely the Aut\u00f3dromo, yeah? You&#8217;re sure they haven&#8217;t just created some uninspired circuit around the streets of Portim\u00e3o instead&#8230;? Someone actually signed off on adding an actual dedicated race track to the calendar?!&#8221; one fan commented on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/formula1\/comments\/1pnxbuc\/f1_breaking_formula_1_to_return_to_portugal_in\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Reddit;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Reddit<\/a>, while another responded: &#8220;Literally my thought as well! Can&#8217;t believe it&#8217;s a proper track, I&#8217;m so happy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another fan added: &#8220;A shame it\u2019s only for 2 years, but I\u2019m stoked to see Portim\u00e3o back. Hopefully, the new regulation cars go well there. I\u2019d take tracks like this on short-term contracts over endless boring street circuits.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Others noted that Portimao was a favourite for sim racing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One of my favourite tracks to drive in racing games so very happy to see this!&#8221; one wrote, while another added: &#8220;I agree! It\u2019s my fav F1 track to drive in games. The verticality is really fun, plus I love that long, slightly downhill right-hander before the straight, it feels so fast.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some other fans met the news with scepticism, though. &#8220;I mean, I&#8217;m glad we get a proper race track and even in Europe. I do, however, think Portimao never really produced great races.
