Jake Paul isn’t standing for the claims that his fights are fake. <\/p>\n

Ahead of his matchup against Anthony Joshua this weekend, Paul told Deontay Wilder, along with others who have called his fights scripted, to “shut the f–k up.” <\/p>\n

“I give them a cease and desist letter in their email \u2026 People need to shut the fuck up,” Paul said. <\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Wilder called Paul’s past fights “scripted” and said that his impending one against Joshua is rigged as well.<\/p>\n

“I think the fight is scripted,’ he said, per the\u00a0Daily Mail’s\u00a0Charlotte Daly<\/a>. “I think his [Paul’s] fights in general have been scripted before. That’s just my strong opinion. It could be what it is and what we see is what we get. But I really think it’s scripted, you know.”<\/p>\n

Wilder pointed to Paul’s fight against Mike Tyson last year, saying that people “just thought of it as a fun one.” This time around, Paul will take on a fighter who is in his prime, which leads Joshua to believe it could be fake.<\/p>\n

“And even more I’m thinking it with this fight now,” Joshua said. “Because now you are really dealing with somebody that’s active, that was a former champion still going, you know. I mean, he’s a real boxer. It has to be scripted.”<\/p>\n

The weight difference between Paul and Joshua is significant. Joshua must come in at 245 lbs or less, while Paul has\u00a0never weighed more than 227 lbs<\/a>. Wilder said he is the only person willing to take on a boxer that much bigger.<\/p>\n

“I only know one person that would do what Jake is doing, and that’s it,” he said, pointing to himself. “And I’m talking about the weight difference. He is around 215 and Joshua is around 250.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“That is a big difference in weight, especially when you add in Joshua’s experience too. I don’t know anyone else that has taken on that sort of weight difference other than me.”<\/p>\n

Whether Paul’s fights are scripted is up for debate, and likely will remain a debate after his matchup against Joshua. Perhaps a loss against Joshua would convince Wilder otherwise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jake Paul isn’t standing for the claims that his fights are fake.
