Collier yesterday in an Unrivaled news conference said, \u201cI feel confident in the [players association] and where we are internally with our players and the future. The conversation has been had now. People are seeing that changes need to be made. It\u2019s coming from so many different directions &#8212; so many people feel this way. We\u2019re just excited for the future.\u201d She added, \u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s fatigue. Obviously, there\u2019s frustration in that both sides are trying to get what they want, but we still have that fire within us that we\u2019re willing to do what it takes. We\u2019re going to do whatever it takes to get what we think we deserve.\u201d Collier said that she \u201cfeels the players are in \u2018lockstep\u2019\u201d with what they are going after in these negotiations and what they are willing to do to get them. She believes that so many players being at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/12\/01\/startup-leagues-pose-existential-threat-to-wnba-amid-cba-negotiations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/12\/01\/startup-leagues-pose-existential-threat-to-wnba-amid-cba-negotiations\/\">Unrivaled &#8212; as well as another group gathering at Athletes Unlimited<\/a> &#8212; will \u201callow for them to build more momentum together\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/wnba\/story\/_\/id\/47329554\/lynx-star-napheesa-collier-speaks-statement-impact-people-seeing-changes-need-made\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ESPN.com, 12\/16<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-leagues-and-governing-bodies \">STILL THE SAME: CBSSPORTS.com\u2019s Lindsay Gibbs noted Collier yesterday spoke for the first time since her end-of-season exit interview. Collier said, \u201cI definitely wasn\u2019t expecting it to blow up the way that it did.
