The Toronto Tempo, Canada\u2019s first and only WNBA team, has launched the franchise\u2019s uniforms ahead of the club\u2019s first tip-off.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While an official roster has yet to be finalized, fans of the city\u2019s first professional women\u2019s basketball team now know what the jerseys will look like when players take the court for the 2026 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Toronto Tempo reveals first WNBA jerseys<\/p>\n
The Tempo\u2019s uniform includes the team\u2019s signature colours of borealis blue and Tempo bordeaux, featuring the logo\u2019s six speed lines that represent the six boroughs that make up the city of Toronto.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The movement and variation in the lines\u2019 thickness \u201cmirror the heartbeat, shifts in pace, and rhythm of both the city and the game \u2014 a nod to basketball\u2019s natural tempos and moments of momentum,\u201d according to a team press release<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The six lines also represent the five players on the court, supported by the sixth player in the game \u2014 the fans.<\/p>\n \u201cToday marks another meaningful milestone on our journey to bringing Canada\u2019s first WNBA team to life,\u201d said Whitney Bell, Chief Marketing Officer of Toronto Tempo.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery detail of these uniforms is intentional. From the colour story to the speed lines, we\u2019ve created a design that brings our brand to life and represents our city, our fans, and our team. We cannot wait for our players \u2014 and our fans \u2014 to wear them with pride.\u201d<\/p>\n Tempo partnering with Sephora and CIBC<\/p>\n The team\u2019s corporate partners, Sephora\u00a0and CIBC, will have their patches featured on the jersey, with Sephora\u2019s logo on the shoulder, and CIBC\u2019s patch located on the abdomen.\u00a0<\/p>\n To celebrate the launch, Sephora is donating $26 for the first 1,000 jerseys purchased to Girls E-Mentorship<\/a>, a Canadian organization that provides high school girls who face socio-economic barriers with leadership and professional skills.<\/p>\n \u201cOur partnership with Toronto Tempo is rooted in our shared beliefs of inclusivity, self-expression and the growing cultural impact of women\u2019s sports in Canada,\u201d says Allison Litzinger, SVP, Marketing of Sephora Canada.<\/p>\n \u201cHaving players and fans wear Sephora on their jersey represents our unwavering support of celebrating beauty in all its forms, both on the court and in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n The new jerseys include the WNBA Nike Heroine Edition in white and the WNBA Nike Explorer Edition in tempo bordeaux, and will be available for fans to purchase in early Jan. 2026.<\/p>\n
