Have Ilia Topuria and Paddy Pimblett gone from being enemies to being friends? Nah, they\u2019re just not \u2018pieces of s–t.\u2019<\/p>\n
That\u2019s according to UFC interim lightweight challenger Pimblett, who recently said he\u2019d leave Topuria\u2019s ugly personal life issues out of his trash talk. That resulted in Ilia calling Paddy<\/a> \u201ca super-entertaining guy who did a superb job\u201d of becoming a star.<\/p>\n \u201cHe had his slips with tweets he made about Georgia,\u201d Topuria continued. \u201cBut I think we all learn from our mistakes, and deep down I notice that he is a person that understands family problems, personal problems, respects it.\u201d<\/p>\n Those are quite the comments coming from a man who has almost brawled with Paddy<\/a> multiple times. Lest things get to friendly, \u201cThe Baddy\u201d laid out his feelings towards Topuria as simply as possible.<\/p>\n \u201cI still hate him, and I know he still hates me,\u201d Pimblett told The Independent.<\/a> \u201cWe still dislike each other, we still want to batter each other, but that\u2019s in the cage.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201dFamily is different. I\u2019d never, ever talk about someone\u2019s family, and I know he wouldn\u2019t talk about mine. He\u2019s just not that way inclined. We\u2019re not pieces of s–t like Colby Covington.<\/a> It\u2019s nothing to do with our families once we get in there.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe can say anything he wants about me, anything personal,\u201d Pimblett concluded. \u201cI can say anything personal about him. He can call me a blonde b—h all he wants, and I can call him a little midget sausage. That\u2019s not bringing families into it, is it? So it\u2019s all good.\u201d<\/p>\n Pimblett is set to fight Justin Gaethje for the interim 155 pound belt at UFC 324<\/a> as Ilia Topuria goes through an ugly divorce with accusations of extortion and domestic abuse<\/a> being thrown around.
