\n\tJason Momoa<\/a> is officially back in Duncan Idaho mode. Ahead of filming \u201cDune: Part Three,\u201d the actor shared a video of himself shaving his beard for the first time in six years to get back into character. Momoa said the last time he shaved was for filming the original \u201cDune\u201d movie.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOnly for you, Denis,\u201d said Momoa in the video, referring to his \u201cDune\u201d filmmaker Denis Villeneuve<\/a>. The actor later added: \u201cGoddamnit! I hate it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMomoa starred as Duncan Idaho in the first \u201cDune\u201d movie and already had confirmed<\/a>\u00a0he\u2019d be back for the upcoming sequel after sitting out \u201cDune: Part Two.\u201d Duncan is the sword-master and mentor to Paul Artreides (Timothee Chalamet) in \u201cDune,\u201d but the character sacrifices himself near the end of the film to allow Paul and his mother, Jessica, to escape from Sardaukar soldiers. In Herbert\u2019s books, Duncan eventually returns in the form of a clone. It\u2019s unclear if Villeneuve is taking a similar direction for \u201cDune: Part Three,\u201d but Momoa is returning.<\/p>\n

\n\tVilleneuve\u2019s \u201cDune: Part Three\u201d also includes returning cast members like Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh. Newcomers to the franchise include Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, the teenage son of Momoa and Lisa Bonet, and \u201cSilo\u201d star Ida Brooke. The young actors are set to play Leto II and Ghanima, the twin offspring of Paul and Chani. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cA rude awakening is what he\u2019s in for,\u201d Momoa told Extra<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month about his son\u2019s \u201cDune\u201d casting. \u201cHe\u2019s into the workforce for the first time. It\u2019s going to be good. He did it on his own. I don\u2019t want to help him, and he\u2019s done it all on his own, and good for him.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou want your children to be better than you, and I really, actually believe he is,\u201d Momoa continued. \u201cI couldn\u2019t do what he\u2019s doing at his age. There\u2019s no way I could sit in a room with Denis Villeneuve and hold my own. I was on \u2018Baywatch\u2019 at 19. He\u2019s 16 and holding shit down with Denis Villeneuve.\u201d<\/p>\n
