Signed out of the Dominican Republic, he has spent much of his professional career developing as a starter. His fastball reaches the mid-90s, and the Tigers will continue to evaluate his secondary offerings as they determine whether his future is best suited for the rotation or a relief role as he advances through the system.

De Jesus, 27, adds experienced left-handed depth and versatility. The Venezuelan native has pitched at the Triple-A level and has worked both as a starter and reliever, giving Detroit a flexible option capable of covering multiple innings. While he has yet to establish himself at the major league level, De Jesus has shown an ability to generate swings and misses and will get an extended look in big league camp as a non-roster invitee.

Guenther, 28, returns on a minor league deal after spending last season in the Tigers’ system. A former Rule 5 pick by Miami, Guenther has big league experience and has primarily worked out of the bullpen. He relies on a fastball-slider combination and provides additional left-handed relief depth at the upper levels of the organization.

Peña also returns to the Tigers after previously pitching in the system. The left-hander adds further organizational depth and familiarity with Detroit’s player development staff. While he is expected to open the season in the minors, Peña gives the Tigers another experienced arm as they build out their pitching inventory.

The moves underscore Detroit’s emphasis on pitching depth across all levels of the organization. None of the signings are expected to immediately impact the major league roster, but they provide the Tigers with added flexibility entering spring training and the 2026 season.

Follow me on “X” @rogcastbaseball

The Detroit Tigers continued to add pitching depth to the organization, signing right-hander Inohan Paniagua and left-hander Enmanuel…

[435
49,48,153528,490,153527,153529,6390,462,134374,82
0":"post-354442","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-mlb","8":"tag-ca","9":"tag-canada","10":"tag-carlos-pena","11":"tag-detroit-tigers","12":"tag-enmanuel-de-jesus","13":"tag-inohan-paniagua","14":"tag-miami","15":"tag-mlb","16":"tag-sean-guenther","17":"tag-sports
["GET
