It\u2019s as if they questioned whether they wanted Carlos in a championship fight. There are opportunities out there. A return to Ferrari seems highly unlikely, as does a switch to Red Bull or Mercedes. But there\u2019s always a chance with one of the other teams that are showing great promise,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Steiner also hinted at a switch to Aston Martin, where Sainz could team up with team principal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/adrian-newey\" title=\"Adrian Newey\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Adrian Newey<\/a> as a replacement for fellow Spaniard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/f1-drivers\/fernando-alonso\" title=\"Fernando Alonso\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fernando Alonso<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say Williams or Aston Martin present Sainz\u2019s best opportunities moving forward. Honestly, I don\u2019t believe Fernando can race for another five years. He will likely have one more year, maybe two at best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sainz enjoyed a remarkable 2025 campaign with the Williams team. The former Ferrari driver racked up two Grand Prix podiums as well as a sprint podium for the Grove-based outfit.<\/p>\n<p>Sainz hits the mark on 2025 predictions<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/news\/carlos-sainz-hits-the-mark-as-f1-drivers-react-to-2025-predictions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Sainz was also the only driver to achieve all his pre-2025 season predictions<\/a>.
